Coffee County Schools Recognize Students For The 2016-2017 Artwork Calendar

For the first time, a featured artist was added to the calendar. This year’s featured artist is Coffee High student Jim Aldridge.
On Thursday, August 25, during the regular monthly meeting of the Coffee County Board of Education, students from all levels were recognized during the annual presentation of the system’s Artwork Calendar.
Entering its 23rd year of production, the school board recognized those students whose art was selected for display on the 2016-2017 school calendar.
Dr. Morris Leis, Superintendent and Kim Clayton, Director of Personnel and Public Relations, presented each student with a certificate as all students earned the monthly Superintendent’s Award.
For the first time, a featured artist was added to the calendar. This year’s featured artist is Coffee High student Jim Aldridge.
A special thanks is extended to Sonny Lyon of Lyon Management for not only sponsoring the production of the calendars, but for gifting each student who was honored with a KFC gift certificate.
Within the next month, the students’ art will be matted and framed for display within the halls of the central office throughout the school year.
