Mr. and Mrs. Alvin L. Ricketson, Jr. announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Deanna Leigh, to Mr. Jared Clifton Hutto, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton E. Hutto of Warner Robins, Ga.
The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Chester Vickers and is the paternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alvin L. Ricketson, Sr.
Deanna is a 2001 honor graduate of Coffee High School. She graduated Magna Cume Laude from Valdosta State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Voice and a Bachelor of Music Education.
She also graduated Summa Cume Laude from Lee University in 2007 with a Masters of Music Education, and in 2013 she graduated Summa Cume Laude from Liberty University with an Education Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning. Deanna is employed by the Houston County Board of Education as the music teacher at Russell Elementary.
The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Ms. Deanie Fitzgerald Evans of Warner Robins, Ga., and the late Mr. Bobby Evans and is the paternal grandson of Ms. Iona Lee Hutto of Warner Robins, Ga., and the late Mr. Joseph Hutto.
Jared is a 2002 graduate of Houston County High School and a 2007 graduate of Georgia Southern University where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Business Management. In 2015 he graduated Cume Laude from Georgia College and State University in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Jared is employed at Robins Air Force Base as a Civilian Logistics Management Specialist.
The wedding will be an event of July 9, 2016, at 5:00 p.m., at West Ward Church of God in Douglas with the reception to follow at The Atrium Event Center.
