Anna Scott Selected As Conners State College Aggie Club Officer
Anna Scott, Hazlehurst, Ga., was recently elected to serve as an officer for the Connors State College Aggie Club in the Division of Agriculture at on the Warner, Oklahoma campus. Scott is a 2015 graduate of Coffee High School. She is the daughter of Jimmy and Jan Scott. On campus, Scott is an active member of Aggie Club, and the Livestock Judging team. Scott is a sophomore at CSC and pursing an Associates of Science in Animal Science. She will serve the club for the 2016-17 school year as the President. Other officers this semester include Amber Wright, Lindsay, OK, Vice President; Keela Kemp, Owasso, OK, Secretary; Brady Womack, Morris, OK, Treasurer; Rylee Parsons, Idabel, OK, Reporter; Matt Staples, Groveland, FL, Freshman Student Government Representative; Erik Svendson, Beggs, OK, Sophomore Student Government Representative, and Paige Stevens, Yukon, OK, Reporter. The Aggie Club at Connors State College is believed to be the oldest club still active on campus. Earlier versions of this club were known as the Gardening Club, 4-H Club, Farm Club and briefly Collegiate FFA as far back as 1917. The group now known as, the Aggie Club has carried that title for over 30 years. The organization is for any student at Connors State College but is based in the Agriculture Division. Club members host activities, competitions and events on campus for members and guests. The club participates in agriculture related events including the Tulsa State Fair, campus Bull sales, tours, recreational and service learning activities. Advisors for the club are Clint Mefford and Nolan Hildebrand. Connors State College is a two-year agriculture college located in east central Oklahoma.
