Several local church members from different churches joined together to put on the Stepping Out in the Highways and Byways for Jesus and Peanut Butter and Jesus events this past Saturday at the corner of Pine Street and Gaskin Avenue.
Bibles, hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and sack lunches were passed out to local citizens free of charge. Members from Saving Grace Ministries, Hebron Baptist Church, Southview Church of God, Covenant Christian Church, Anchor Fellowship Church, and Evangel Tabernacle all had a part in making the event a success.
Members of Saving Grace Ministries stated that they are looking forward to doing more outreaches in the upcoming future.
