Community Prayer Walk July 23

Several local churches will join together to co-host and expand the second annual Community Prayer Walk in Douglas next weekend. Last year, the event was hosted by Greater Destiny International Ministries and First Baptist Church.
During last year’s prayer walk, groups of citizens divided into teams and went to various locations throughout the city of Douglas to pray. The groups visited every school in Coffee County, the Douglas Police Department, the Douglas Fire Department and the Coffee County Jail.
This year, the prayer walk will be expanding and the teams will also be visiting different communities in Douglas, including Oak Park and Roundtree Park.
Those who participate will be a united front wearing matching purple t-shirts as forty prayer groups will be sent across to intercede for our family, community, city, state, nation, and world.
For anyone who would like to purchase a t-shirt for the prayer walk, contact Ultimate Graphics at (912) 384-2273.
The prayer walk will take place on Saturday, July 23, 2016, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Those who want to participate are asked to meet at the track behind the Board of Education.
For more information, contact Brother Derrick Green at (912) 389-2084 or Pastor Shep Johnson at (912) 384-5598.
