Domestic Violence Awareness Balloon Release & Vigil Will Be Held On October 6

The Domestic Violence Awareness Balloon Release & Vigil will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. at the Coffee County Board of Education Alternative School Parking Lot.
The Coffee County Domestic Violence Task Force Committee invites everyone to our first Domestic Violence Awareness & Prevention event in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In 2015, Coffee County Law Enforcement reports that there were 365 cases of domestic violence in Coffee County. The purple pinwheels will represent the lives that have been forever scarred by abuse. We will join together and remember those who have lost their lives to domestic violence, mourn for those who have suffered in silence, and applaud those who have escaped abusive relationships. Let’s take a stand and make the following commitment:
Domestic Violence ends with me. Recognize it. Report it. Prevent it.
Sponsored by: Waycross Judicial Circuit Domestic Violence Task Force and The Magnolia House Shelter for Abused Persons, Inc.
