Elder-Elect Brenda G. Veal Ordination Services Set For September 18, 2016

Minister Veal has a passion for Kingdom building and helping her fellowman. Her favorite quote is “If I can help somebody, then my living will not be in vain.”
Bishop Andre A. Wright, Founder, Pastor/ Teacher of The Cathedral of True Praise, located 180 Green Oak Street, Douglas, Georgia, will be ordaining Elder-Elect Brenda G. Veal as an Elder. 
The Ordination services will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at 5:00 p.m.
Elder-Elect Veal was licensed on July 28, 2013, by Bishop Andre A. Wright, Founder, Pastor/Teacher of The Cathedral of True Praise. 
Elder-Elect Veal has been preaching and teaching the gospel for three years.
She is one of the founding members of The Cathedral of True Praise. 
She serves as the Church Administrator, Adult Church School Teacher. 
She also is a member of the Shepherd Care Ministry, Intercessory Ministry, Co-Leader of the Women Ministry and the Christian Education Ministry. She is a member of the Outreach Ministry where she goes out in the community and compel souls to come to Christ. 
She and her husband, Dr. Veal, are sponsors of the Outreach Breakfast on every third Sunday for the youth in the Sandridge Area as well as for the members to fellowship. She is the Editor-in-Chief for the Church Newsletter, “The Cathedral of Praise Informer.”
Elder-Elect Veal is a Bryan County native, born in Pembroke, Georgia, a 1969 graduate of A.E. Beach High School in Savannah, Georgia, a 1973 graduate of Savannah State College now Savannah State University with a B.S. in Business Education.  She has done further study at the Armstrong/Savannah Joint Graduate Center, and received certification in Mental Retardation at Valdosta State University. 
She is also certified as a Teacher Support Specialist.
She is a former College Administrator and a retired educator with 41 years of experience in education.  
She and her husband, Dr. Veal is co-owners of B & J Personal Care Home where the slogan is “Professionals Who Care”. She is an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics.
She is Past Matron of Queenell #243 Order of Eastern Star and the Youth Directress, Past Associate District Matron of the Fitzgerald District #23 Order of Eastern Star, Past Most Ancient, and Charter Most Ancient Matron of the R.J. Ball Heroine of Jericho Court #17 and Past District Director of Court #17 and a member of Marjorie B. Johns Assembly/Tifton/Pelham.
She is the President of the Waycross Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a Commissioner of the Historical Preservation Commission for the City of Douglas, a member of the Atkinson/Coffee Retired Teachers Association and the Georgia Retired Teachers Association. 
She is a Volunteer at Coffee Regional Medical Center where she has served  since 2004 with over 3,000 volunteer hours. 
She serves on the Executive Committee and Chairperson of the Scholarship Committee for Coffee Regional Auxiliary. 
She is presently enrolled in the Masters of Biblical Studies Degree Program at Jacksonville Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Florida.
She is the daughter of the late Mr. Jesse Louis Groover and the late Evangelist Ruth Bulloch Groover.
She is married to Dr. Jimmy L. Veal, a retired Educator, and the mother of 2 adult children, Marlon and Felicia; the mother-in-law of L. Michelle Groover and Tobe Green, the grandmother of three: Jorrye, Malik and Mayah.
