Elderly Nicholls Man Arrested On Drug, Firearm Charge

The press release added, “During the course of this investigation, agents were able to prove that drugs were being sold from this residence. Officers have seized marijuana, illicit pain medications and crack cocaine leaving this residence on a daily basis.” None of those seizures were announced in the press release.
A multi-agency drug investigation led to the arrest of a Nicholls man last week, and he now faces a marijuana charge and a firearms charge as a result. 
According to a press release from the Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit (DCDU), officers with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Network, Nicholls Police Department, Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, Coffee H.E.A.T. Unit, and DCDU executed a search warrant at 820 North Coffee Street in Nicholls on Tuesday, September 20, around 10:30 a.m. 
The press release says that officers discovered “several illicit prescription medications,” as well as marijuana, packaging materials and scales, and a loaded firearm. 
John Charles Drummond, age 68, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Marijuana. No charges were filed for the “illicit prescription medications.”
