Indian Creek Teacher To Serve As Keynote Speaker At Chamber’s ‘Think Pink’ Event

The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce has announced that April Doherty, a teacher at Indian Creek Elementary School, will serve as the keynote speaker at the Women in Business: Think Pink event that celebrates breast cancer survivors this year.  The event will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Central Square.
Chamber President Andrea Taylor commented, “If you know April, you know she is the sweetest soul! On February 25, 2016, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. However, cancer does not define her!”
April is married to Pat Doherty who works with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office. They just celebrated 16 years of marriage and have two beautiful kids, Keely, 11, and Finn, 10. She is working on her 19th year of teaching.
April was saved at an early age and loves serving her savior Jesus Christ. She attends church at Grace Pointe where she is involved with different ministries.

This year’s “Think Pink” theme is – “Promoting a Healthy & Productive Workplace.”
As for tickets to the event and/or sponsorships, reserved tables for 10 cost $300 for Chamber Members, reserved tables for 8 are $250 for Chamber Members, and reserved tables for 6 are $200 for Chamber Members. Non-Chamber Members rates are $300 for a table for 8, and $250 for a table for 6.
Individual tickets cost $30 each for Chamber Members, and $40 each for Non-Chamber Members.
According to Chamber officials, over 300 people attend this event each year making it an excellent platform to promote your business. Sponsorship packages available are: Platinum Sponsorship - $2,500, which includes: Opportunity to Speak at Event, Marketing Spotlight, Option to set up a Marketing Booth, Logo on Slideshow throughout the Event, Logo on all Marketing Materials, and Three Tables of 8 for the Event.
The Dessert Table Sponsorship is $1,750 and includes: Logo on Slideshow throughout the Event; Logo on all Marketing Materials; Option to Decorate Dessert Table with Marketing Materials; Recognition at the Event; and Two Tables of 8 for the Event.
The Gold Sponsorship costs $1,000 and includes: Logo on Slideshow throughout the Event; Logo on all Marketing Materials; Recognition at the Event; and Two Tables of 8 for the Event.
The Silver Sponsorship is $500 and includes: Logo on Slideshow throughout the Event; Logo on all Marketing Materials; Recognition at the Event; and One Table of 8 for the Event.
Participants can set up and decorate their tables on Wednesday, October 11, from 3pm - 6pm, and on Thursday, October 12 from 8am - 5pm.
