Jim Aldridge Is CHS Big Man On Campus 2016

CHS Theatre Arts Sponsors Fundraising Event
Coffee High School Theatre Arts would like to thank all of our business supporters, all of the club and organization sponsors, and everyone who helped to support these fine young men with donations.
It might have been California Dreaming at Coffee High School’s Homecoming Dance, but it was all reality for Senior Jim Aldridge as he was announced the winner of the 2nd annual Big Man on Campus event at Coffee High.  Sponsored by the Theatre Arts program as a means to raise money to help fund their performances, the event was a crowd pleaser.
Senior men are nominated by their club or organization at CHS.  The men then work with their friends, family, and their sponsor to raise the most money to earn the coveted title.
This year there were ten nominees:  Isaiah Smith for CHS Art Club, Jett Voorhees for CHS Band, Meaty Davis for CHS Cheer, Jim Aldridge for Exceptionalities, Parth Patel for FBLA, Xzadrian Moffett for FCCLA, Cason Kirkland for FFA, Kevin Martinez for NJROTC, Bo Evans for Student Council, and Diego Escobar for TSA.  The winners were: Isaiah Smith, 4th Runner-Up, Kevin Martinez 3rd Runner-Up, Bo Evans-2nd Runner-Up, and Jett Voorhees-1st Runner Up.  Jim Aldridge, a senior with a lot of fans and friends won the contest garnering the most votes.  While all of the nominees and runners-up walked away with a prize, Jim took home a gift bag full of goodies from Flyin’ Cowboy, Amerson Tire, Peak Physique, Spivey’s Catfish House, T.J. Maintenance Home Repairs and Improvements, Crosby of Coffee, Moore Than Graphics, Malcolm’s Drug Store, Ultimate Graphics Plus, Coley Electric and Plumbing Supply, First National Bank of Coffee County, and Needles and Pins Sewing and Embroidery.  In addition, Jim was also presented the crown, sash, and a dozen BACON roses.
