Kemp Wins Coffee County's Vote in Gubernatorial Race

Coffee County voters had their say on Tuesday, and Republican candidate Brian Kemp prevailed in our county against Democrat candidate Stacey Abrams in the race for Georgia Governor. The following election results include Absentee Ballots, Advanced Voting, Douglas, Ambrose, Bridgetown, Broxton, Nicholls, and West Green. All local candidates for this election were unopposed. At the time of press, statewide elections results were not fully complete.

            Kemp took Coffee County with a vote count of 8,920 (71%) to Abrams’ 3,618 votes (29%). Libertarian candidate Ted Metz received 55 votes. Kemp took every precinct in Coffee County, minus falling slightly behind Abrams in Absentee voting, with Kemp receiving 180 votes and Abrams receiving 210.
