Mrs. Loraine DeFreitas, 87, Services To Be Held On Tuesday, September 20, 2016
Mrs. Loraine DeFreitas, age 87, of Broxton, Ga., passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. DeFreitas was born on July 10, 1929, in Newnan, Ga., to the late Gilbert Abercrombie and Katie Mary Huffmaster Abercrombie.
Survivors include: her two daughters, Libby DeFreitas of Nicholls, Ga., and Felicia Moseley of Broxton, Ga.; son, Major General John (Mena) DeFreitas, III, of Clarksville, MD; six grandchildren, Neil (Brittany) O’Steen of Douglas, Ga., Katie (Kevin) Adams of Douglas, Ga., John (Yvonne) Moseley of Douglas, Ga., Donnie (Amy) Hodges of Douglas, Ga., and Michael (Hillary) Hodges of Savannah, Ga.; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Mickey) Huddleston of Thomasville, Ga., and Ellen Edgar Wolfe of Thomasville, Ga.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Wendy Moseley; and two sisters, Betty Nelson and Margaret Dillard.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home.
Active Pallbearers will be Neil O’Steen, John Moseley, Donnie Hodges, Michael Hodges, Lawson Moseley, and Kevin Adams.
Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Garden.
Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
