Mrs. Lorene “Tince” Wright, 91
Mrs. Lorene “Tince” Wright, age 91, of Douglas, Ga., passed away late Monday evening, March 20, 2017, at Shady Acres Health & Rehabilitation following an extended illness.
She was born January 10, 1926, to the late J. C. Wright and the late Mattie Nipper Wright. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George Russell Wright, an infant daughter, Myrtle Wright, and a brother, Joe Cecil Wright.
Mrs. Wright, a native of Coffee County, was a homemaker and a former employee of Federal Corset Manufacturer.
Mrs. Wright attended First Assembly of God.
Survivors include: her son: Walter Rusty Wright of Douglas, Ga.; two grandsons: Dustin Wright of Douglas, Ga., and Joey Wright of Cartersville, Ga.; one great grandson: Jack Wright of Douglas, Ga.; one sister-in-law: Maudine P. Wright of Douglas, Ga.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning, March 23, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. Marshall Adcock officiating.
The interment followed in the Hebron Cemetery with Rev. George Carroll Paulk conducting the committal service.
Active pallbearers were: Chris Malphus, Jerry Lott, Raymond Nipper, Gerald Wright, Johnny Wright and Tonky Barlow.
A special musical selection, “Amazing Grace,” was presented by the Soloist, Rev. Marshall Adcock, with Becky Taylor, at the piano. Prelude and postlude soft hymns were rendered by the pianist, Becky Taylor.
