Touchdown Club Kicks Off Annual Membership Drive

Club Continues To Give Back To CHS Sports
“We don’t just support the football team. We support all of the teams, and I don’t think a lot of people realize that. We want people to know that when they invest in the Touchdown Club or they help us, they are not just helping the football team – they are helping all of our athletes,” Mayo states.
The Coffee High School Trojan Touchdown Club is kicking off its annual membership drive for the 2016 season, and five membership packages are available for purchase this year. For the past six years, the Touchdown Club has been supporting the students and athletes in Coffee County, whether it is helping a team purchase equipment or simply taking an athlete to practice.
Over the last six years, the club has dedicated their time to support all of the athletes at Coffee High School. All of the funds raised and collected by the Touchdown Club not only go towards the Coffee High School Football team, but to all sports teams at Coffee High.
“We don’t just support the football team. We support all of the teams, and I don’t think a lot of people realize that. We want people to know that when they invest in the Touchdown Club or they help us, they are not just helping the football team – they are helping all of our athletes,” Mayo states.
Through support from the community, the club has been able help purchase helmets, sports equipment, a new weight room, practice field resurfacing, and a field house.
“We have to have a club like this. There are always expenses that we don’t know about, whether it be traveling to a camp or purchasing helmets, we are here to help the athletes in any way we can. We are not looking for money in this program, we are looking for support to help these students and players,” Touchdown Club Vice President Earl Mayo states.
The organization also gives bottled water to the CHS sports teams to use for hydration or to sell during a fundraiser.
The bottled water is provided to the Touchdown Club by their “biggest contributor” Premium Waters. Premium Waters donates “Trojan water” to the Touchdown Club every year and the club has the right to use the bottled water in any way they would like.
“We have a lot of huge supporters in this town. The motivated mothers are unbelievable when it comes to helping out these athletes. The moms cook breakfast for the players on game days and we even had someone donate a freezer for us to store meat in to cook for them. Coach Prewitt is also doing amazing things with the football program here. He’s always letting us know what we can do for the players, because that is what we are here for. We are always looking for a way to help these athletes,” Mayo says.
Entry-level membership to the club is $100.00 and is known as the “Sheath Level” and includes a decal, an express pass for concessions, and a parking pass in lot B during this year’s football season.
The “Dagger Level” is $300.00 and includes a decal, one private numbered parking pass in Lot A on the north side of the stadium, and an express pass for concessions.
The “Spear Level” costs $500.00 and includes a decal, an express pass for concessions, two private numbered parking passes in Lot A next to the stadium, and two general admission tickets to all regular season games.
The “Sword Level”, which is the club’s “Best Value,” includes a decal, an express pass for concessions, two private numbered parking passes in Lot A next to the stadium, two general admission tickets to all regular season games, and advertising on the stadiums Megatron board.
The highest package, the “Warrior Level,” is priced at $3,000.00 and includes a decal, express pass, two private numbered parking passes in Lot A next to stadium, Megatron board advertising, four General Admission tickets to every regular season game, and scoreboard advertising.
“Warrior Level” members will also serve as a game sponsor for one home game, which includes priority one treatment on the Megatron board with PA and radio announcements, a tent at the North entrance to greet and provide info or show your product to the fans arriving to the game, and one additional parking pass at the Access Gate for your supplies on your sponsored night. “Warrior Level” members will also receive a “meet and greet” with the coach before the game and enjoy watching the game with their two field passes and 10 general admission tickets to the game you sponsor.
“Membership is the primary way we raise funds to support our team. We can continue providing what is needed because we have a great community. Please join the cause and let’s show our youth we believe in them. Let’s all be proud to be a Trojan fan!” Touchdown Club President Dana Fender states.
“We are here to support the moral of the students, to make sure they have adequate equipment, and to lay a foundation for them to become better men and women. I believe in our coaching staff and the way we are raising these kids, and as long as I believe in that, I will continue to be a part of this club. We are all very thankful for the trust the community has installed in this club,” Mayo states.
The club meets the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the CHS Field House for anyone who would like to attend a meeting.
