Trojans Looking To Snap Losing Streak As Region Schedule Begins On Friday

The Coffee High School Trojans will look to snap their two-game losing streak his Friday night, October 14, when they travel to Warner Robins to face off with the Houston County Bears. This is the first game of Coffee’s Region 1-AAAAAA schedule.
The Trojans got off to a 3-0 start to the season but have lost two straight, falling on the road to Tift County and Warner Robins, who are both undefeated.
Houston County is 2-5 entering Friday’s contest with their wins coming against Veterans High (27-22) and Spalding (27-7). Their losses have come against Jones County (42-3), Peach County (44-14), Eagle’s Landing (27-22), Warner Robins (38-21), and Lee County (34-0).
Houston is a young football team, and two sophomore quarterbacks, Max Rigby and Isaia Harris, have both seen time under center.
The team’s leading rusher, Wesley Steiner, is also a sophomore. Steiner and Harris are also the team’s two leading receivers.
Senior offensive lineman Trey Hill (6’5”, 325 lbs.) is one of the state’s most highly recruited players.
Junior free safety Trey Franklin leads the team in tackles, and junior linebackers Jamir Best and Zay Hicks are two playmakers who fly around the field.
Kickoff on Friday is set for 7:30 p.m. at Freedom Field in Warner Robins.
