University Christian Cancels Game Versus Trojans After Hurricane Irma

The Coffee High School Trojans’ scheduled matchup with University Christian of Jacksonville, Florida, has been cancelled following Hurricane Irma.
Coffee High Athletic Department officials announced the game’s cancellation on Wednesday morning, September 13, after being contacted by University Christian officials. The game with University Christian will not be rescheduled.
Coffee High Athletic Department officials were left scrambling on Wednesday morning trying to find another opponent.
As of press time, another opponent had not been scheduled.
Friday’s matchup with University Christian was going to feature the Trojans against the two-time Floridian Class AA Champions. Both Coffee and University Christian are undefeated so far in 2017.
As for the hometown Trojans, Coffee (3-0) is currently ranked third in the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s weekly composite rankings.
Coffee has scored 86 points in the team’s three wins (an average of almost 29 points per game), while allowing just 47 points (just under 16 points per game).
